I have everything but a TNC2 clone. I have a good lead on a site. I have a UI-View setup running in the downtown area, but it doesn't get out very far. Just trying to get something decent set up, it's like completely dead out here.
Anyone know the best way to find affordable tower space?

I just found this site, and I'm trying to get a digi set up in Dubuque to cover the tri-state area. Anyone on here able to help out?

Hi Adam,
Welcome to the site! Right now it's only running 1 watt, and it's not digi'ing much of anything. Ron needs to change some parameters.
As far as help on setting up a new digi, what are you looking for? It's not that hard, the easiest route is a UIView setup... Then there's what I'm running now, you can get the eeprom for a TNC2 clone, like my 1270b for free from a site above. KPC-3/3+'s are OK, but you have to set them just right to catch everything.
Then all you need is a spare rig, and a decent site, it's a bonus if you can see and hit other WIDES from there, UIView would allow a WIDE/IGATE, unless you run the gate from home like I used to.
Feel free to ask questions, there's a ton of knowledge on this board. |

Contact a local club, talk to a local radio or TV station... Look at tower sites, most around here have contact numbers on the gate/door...
TNC2 clone should be easy to find... Signed Gene Young N9MXQ
