This is a very capable replacement for those who have tired of UIView and WinAPRS.

Ah, but would it be classified as "embedded" (since it was originally for Windows CE), or general purpose? Smile

Guess I won't be trying it, then. I've reinstated my "no participation in Yahoo Groups" policy, after the last exception I made. Too bad they don't provide a download link from their documentation page.

Lynn has developed this into one very nice piece of software. It has now completely replaced UIView as my main APRS software.

Since I've been using it, he's added multiple map sources. You can choose from any number of map sources. OSM, Topo, Mapsource, and more..

Usually when someone asks for a feature, he's got it in a development release in a couple days.

If you install the program above, you can update to the latest release by clicking the about tab.

Gene, great posts. Finally got around to running this APRSIS32 program I suggested some time back. As said, Lynn doing a great job with this freeware, and almost want to go out and get something with WinCE for a mobile application to complement my home WinXP system running this 32 bit system.
Installation almost painless on the APRSIS32, with RF and gating and features fairly easy to learn.
Running the program connected to a Kenwood TS-2000 with the internal Tasco modem on the sub channel right now, and used the TM-D710Pkt choice for the rig/tnc choice, which was close enough to get my rig up working.
When I popped up on the network, Lynn, the author, contacted me about using this radio, and explained that the Tasco modem nearly the same in this, and in the TM-D700 in Pkt (Not APRS) MODE. Probably would work with the early TH-D7A as well. The APRSIS Wiki might be updated later to cover the other Kenwoods.
Keep up the fine business, and enjoy APRS. This program is a winner so far.
