All,

General question really...

Is anybody aware of or, themselves actively using AX.25 for anything other than APRS.

Don't care what the activity is, just want to know about it and/or who is still using "Packet Packet", on what frequencies, and for what (e.g. keyboard to keyboard, TCP-IP, EOC operations, etc..)

If any EOC and/or "Fixed operations", a contact name would also be nice, but any information would be helpful!

Thanks,
Bob - KA9FLX

Hi Bob KA9FLX.

Telpac stations in NE IL showing up, "advertising" on APRS with the callsign-WL SSID.

Several packet stations and BBS reported on 147.555 MHz in Central IL.
N9ZZK, KA9FER, KA9VAU, and possibly more using ILCOAL, ILMAR, ILMAG respectively, may be more.

Springfield IL alive with TelPac,contact N9PUZ.

East Illinois had packet to IN with WD9EKA.

Lake County running with packet classes and regular packet nets, check with W9GWP for more on NIL and SWI networks on 145.610 ARES packet frequency.

More out there, and appreciate all being listed on illinoisdigitalham Yahoo Group database, when known.

Test messages from ham, please, no spam, would be appreciated from any area packet BBS to my call sign @KA9FER.#CIL.IL.USA.NOAM

Ditto for periodic tests of WinMail or APRSlink, if you know how.
